Mcdonalds Careers – Tips To Get Hired Quickly

HiredIf your considering one of the many Mcdonalds careers, regardless of your education, qualifications, or lack thereof, the most important part to remember is to approach the hiring process in a professional manner.

In this age of technology, too many people mistakenly believe all they have to do is find the Mcdonalds online applications page, fill it out, and get a call back from an eager job recruiter.  Then they sit by the phone for weeks on end without ever receiving “the call.”

Oh, you may actually get lucky every once in a while, but to drastically improve your odds at getting hired for one of the Mcdonalds jobs, follow these simple steps:

1.  Forget about the online application for now.  Dress up in nice business attire and visit the Mcdonalds you want to work in when customer traffic is low; either really early in the morning, after the breakfast rush, etc.

2.  Once you are inside, act confident and politely tell a crew member you would like to speak with the manager.  If the crew member doesn’t ask,  “What for?” don’t volunteer any information (I know this sounds sneaky but it works!).  The older you look, the better it works.

3.  If the manager or assistant manager comes out to speak with you, politely introduce yourself and say, “I know you’re busy but I wanted to introduce myself to you.  I’m so-and-so and I’m hoping to join your crew members (or other position).  May I fill out a Mcdonalds application?”  This gives you a great chance to break the ice so they can see a face behind your name once you apply.

4.  If their conversation appears inviting, be yourself, remain confident, and express your sincere desire to their employee. At this point they’ll either let you apply in person or tell you to go online; just follow their lead.

One more thing; give them a firm, but not bone-crushing handshake, and always try to exude the utmost confidence without appearing arrogant.

5.  Follow up a few days later in person, not over the phone.  For some reason, the human species doesn’t place enough importance in conversations over the phone!

6.  If you don’t get hired for a Mcdonalds job at this location try the next.  Then wash, rinse, and repeat until you’re successful; and you will be!
